ACCELERATED PACING METHOD:

Hand movements can cause improvement of reading speed. Now I’ll introduce to you the well-known pacing movement. It uses your index finger of your dominant hand, i.e. right handed use right hand, to scan a line by running your finger under the type you are reading. Always turn the page with the unused, non-dominant hand. Don’t move your head, keep it still.

Writers are unnecessarily verbose. What this means is there are many words within sentences that are just there as fillers. Now search for the important words … like those in capital letters:

Look at those words,, you’ll notice the words in ALL CAPS; they are the ONLY WORDS YOU MUST READ to get the meaning. The ones I typed in regular type are just fillers. What you need to be reading is this:

YOU SLOW READER BECAUSE YOU READ BY WORD SAY EVERY WORD TO SELF. USE YOUR HAND AS PACER.

Sure it sounds like Tonto of the Lone Ranger. But, you can understand what that means and you can easily eliminate the need for all those filler words.

At every college & university, there are always supporters who go through great lengths to invite opposing fans to join them, to show them proper collegial hospitality. With that, the host institution spends a great deal of money promoting games, so that teams and fans will visit, boost attendance, improve sports programs, and thereby gather support for the college overall.

Somewhere, people need to learn that “big time” and “low class” are not synonyms.

But every week, it takes place all across the US. Everyone sees it; but absolutely no one addresses it.

It is intolerable. Where are the administrators, the elected student officials, the alumni groups, the coaches and athletics personnel? It is time for to them all to step up, and do what a is expected of higher education:
